Blurr- Complete with Lines & Handles, Flexifoil

Earth, Wind and Tire... In the spring of 2008 I was at NABX 2008 th American Buggy Expo, Ivanpah Dry Lake, CA), and the Flexifoil Team Riders were showing off the new Blurr.
The Blurr takes the low-lift, high speed properties of the Rage and dials it way, way up. It is designed and built as a no-compromise high speed buggy engine. Like the Rage, it is a low lift kite designed to get its power flying fast down low in the window. While the Rage is suitable for entry level flyers seeking high performance, the Blurr is aimed at intermediate flyers with some experience but who do not want the high lift charactersistics of the Blade.
I have flown the 5m Blurr on Jekyll Island beach and what impressed me the most was the stability and smooth power. While aimed at intermediate fliers, this kite would be OK in the hands of novices with a bit of 4-line experinece. Even in a botched or mis-timed jibe in the buggy, the kite is much less likely to luff and bow-tie than other kites in its class. Come out to Jekyll and give this kite a try!
Features...
- Like the Blade, the Blurr is equipped with the "Tripple A" ground adjustable bridle that allows you to change the angle of attack (AoA) settings of the kite. High AoA seetings provide added grunt at lower speeds, and lower AoA speeds up the kite and improves upwind performance.
- New planform incorporates a relatively high aspect ratio of 4.2 with a highly swept back canopy for stabilty. Closed tip cells further inprove stabilty and reduce drag.
- Sora Ripstop Nylon is double-coated, waterproof, tear resistant, durable and helps maintain sail shape.
- Pre-stretched unsleeved Dyneema bridles mean reduced drag and increased speed. Pre-stretched means accurate and stable sail shape in any conditions.
- Reinforcements at bridle attachment points and internal rib vents to help prevent cell "blow-outs" in the case of sudden impact.
Includes...
- Blurr kite canopy
- Backpack
- Instructions

- Free repair card
- New ProLink Handles
- Pre-stretched Dyneema lines 200/100kg x 25m, #FF 62917
The new ProLink handles are solid plastic and virtually indestructable. They have new padded rubber grips with thumb notch and the new integrated mechanical strop attachment feature. By themselves they are a pretty expensive peice of kit, and buying them with the kite is a very cost-effective option.
