This new design with the unique hooked top on the handles puts the main power line attachment in the normal spot between your index and forefinger without actually running the lines between them.

They are sturdily built out of fiberglass, but are light in weight and have foam padded grips.

Another unique design detail are the brake line leads that slide through the handles to a stopper ball, allowing you to attach kite killer leashes (not included with this set) behind the handles. The handles slide up the brake leads to the stopper ball when you let go.

Brake leads are color coded for left/ right. They do not have stake loops, but that is an easy add with some spare cord.

Main leaders are soft white braided line with knots back-spliced in the ends.  (Gone are the spindly thin leaders of earlier versions that were not so popular.) On the back of the handle tops are leaders for attaching a strop (not included) for use with harnesses.
