When I first heard about this product I kind of thought it was a silly idea. I mean, we all have a length of light rope in our kite bag for pulling the buggy around, right? But I checked it out, and it's actually pretty handy, comfortable to use, and for twelve bucks, it's worth a look.
The "walk of shame" (or "walk of quiet reflection", as my friend Steve Pigeon calls it), is that quiet walk back to buggy camp when the wind dies or when you haven't quite mastered light air or upwind work. Even if you never get stuck away from camp, you need something to haul the buggy to and from the parking lot.
The Peter Lynn leash makes this easy. The twin leashes are made of webbing with loops at the end for larks-heading each one around a foot peg. The handle is soft fabric around padded foam, so it's more comfortable, even when you are hauling tons of gear on your bug through soft sand. The leashes are long enough so you can walk behind the buggy when going down hill. A handy carry pouch with Velcro closure straps to you side rail so it's always within handy reach and you never have to rummage through your kite bag to find it.
So now I've tossed away the ratty old scraps of tow-line that I could never find anyway and strut on to the beach with style (and don't lose the circulation in my hand or fingers).
Note: The picture shows the padded handle in red; the ones we have are all black.
