Sure, any bag will do but these brightly colored bags (either red or blue) with the sharp Peter Lynn graphics will stand out on the beach or field and will be less likely be left behind.  These are the same bags that come with each Peter Lynn Twinskin kite and are used to hold down the up-wind wingtip during launch, but you can use them anywhere that ballast would come in handy.
