• Lay out your lines in equal length.
• Tie your first loops with figure-of-eight knots
• Secure the loops to a fixed anchor point.
• One at a time, wrap the free end around a dowel or broomstick and give about six good yanks with your full body weight to cinch the lines and lock the fibers.
• Trim the waste for equal line length and tie the last loops
• Put all four lines around your stick and give another yank to  cinch the knots and check for equal length
• Loosen and re-tie any knots as necessary if  lengths are not equal
