Buggy Bound If you have decided that the buggy is the way to go, then the Viper will get you there with ease. It's a fast, stable, easy to fly buggy engine perfect for the beginner to intermediate rider.
Easy handling and stability The Viper is a very easy kite to fly, it responds well to very little brake pressure and flies comfortably throughout the entire wind window. The Viper is a stable kite that does not tend to luff over your head, and this makes it a great kite for a wide range of people from less experience riders to intermediate riders.
Good upwind performance The Viper has excellent upwind performance, allowing your to get back to where you started with ease. Go for a large speedy downwind run without worrying about how to get back to where you started.
Docile pull the Viper has docile pull across the wind window and a smooth buildup of power. This allows you to ride your buggy, land board, skis or snowboard with minimal side-pull when flying at the edge of the window. Because of this non-aggressive behavior, you can easily move the kite around the entire range of the wind window without getting pulled out of the buggy too easily.
High top speed When riding at high speed, your kite can be your limiting factor, where you can ride faster than the kite can fly. The Vipers panel design, along with the chosen airfoil will not limit the top speed for some fast rides with the buggy, 'board or skis.
We used to wonder where the Viper sat in the Peter Lynn line-up, since the original Reactor, albeit much more expensive, was a top end buggy engine yet still easy to fly for a novice. With the performance of the new Reactor II boosted and now placing greater demands on rider skills, the Viper stands out as the perfect (and affordable) first buggy engine, even if it's your first 4-line kite. It is much faster than any other entry-level kite and will give the beginner or intermediate rider all they need to progress for a while. We at CWS can give it a hearty thumbs up!
