This is the brand new Navigator bar and it's a serious piece of kit. It's long throw is designed to compliment the Charger Twinskin, but with the adjustable stopper on the depower line, it can be used on any depower kite. The bar ends are set up so that the lines can be attached to the inside or outside of the horns, effectively increasing or decreasing bar length by 10 cm, or 2 1/2".
The new Centrix chicken loop is engineered with built in safety release and swivel to remain tangle-free. Power is adjusted with a cam-cleat shrouded in a neoprine cover to keep it padded and tidy. The bar stopper is adjustable to set the proper throw for the kite, and its resistance to movement can be set to firm or loose, if you want to be able to adjust bar throw on the fly. The bar comes with an optional suicide leash adapter that will not let the kite lose shape if you let go un-hooked (expert riders only, please). Self landing handles ("OS" handles) are at the end of the rear lines, fastened with Velcro.
The bar comes complete with lines attached and also includes a thee meter extension set. It is available in two lengths and two different main line sets, so that there are a great number of possible combinations to fit your kite size and riding style. the three combinations available are...
Small: 45-55 cm Bar, 20m lines, 3m extensions (ships w/ 6 & 8 m Chargers)
Medium: 45 - 55 cm Bar, 23m lines, 3m extensions (ships with 10, 12 & 15m Chargers)
Large: 55-65 cm Bar, 23m lines, 3m extensions (ships w/ 19m Chargers)
Remember that this is a "Y" configuration rig on the front end with front-line safety. There is a single center line coming up the bar to about half-way to the kite, then it splits in the "Y", to each of the front bridles. The safety line from the leash runs up along side the center line to the "Y", where it connects to one of the front lines to flag the kite when the bar is dumped at the chicken loop.
The Navigator bar is designed to be easy to service and maintain. We normally stock all commonly needed replacement parts that are subject to wear with time. We sell the line sets in the "Y" configuration meant for the Charger, but the rider wanting to do some tinkering could adapt any de-power line set to make a conventional rig with the safety connection down near the center power strap. It comes with a full color instruction manual and a nice nylon storage bag to keep everything clean and organized.
