Jekyll Island, Georgia wind direction, speed, historical records and predictions in near real-time

Special thanks to the good people at WindAlert.com and WeatherFlow. A while back they contacted some local kiters and suggested that as long as they were wanting to add a weather station to Jekyll Island for thier commercial weather network, they might as well put it where it would be useful for local kiters. The station is now located at the Blackbeards' Restaurant parking lot, overlooking Kite Beach. You will find Kite Beach in front of Blackbeards on Beachview Drive (the main oceanside road) 1/2 mile north of the island entrance road (turn left for north).
